This was our Disney Hollywood Studios day, but it was only due to be a short day as we were expecting an employee of the electricity company to come to carry out an energy audit with us, but more on that later.
We got to the park around 10am and had a few Disney photos and then just missed the Frozen Show so headed for the Beauty and the Best show for 11am. That was as good as ever and then we were off to the Indiana Jones spectacular. Now that show needs volunteers to be extras, so there may be some from among friends and family reading this who might like to have some fun and be part of the cast!
Electricity costs generally here are at least as high as in the UK and there's no competition among electricity companies, so little incentive for Duke Energy to keep prices down. That said, they offer a free advice service and also contributions towards replacements of energy saving items.
He told us what we expected - that the two main guzzlers of energy are the air conditioning system and the pool heater, but he gave us a lot of other helpful advice and he is now our official advisor!
