Day 11: Sunday 8 September

Just after first light Graeme was out again bleaching the pool screen to remove the algae (no more photos of that - yesterday's were shocking enough!) and then we heard the distinctive sound of a burn and, once again it was balloon time!

When Hurricane Dorian was skirting along the coast opposite us, locals here plus the weather experts on TV predicted that it would take the weather with it - and it did. There's now less humidity and we wake to clear skies and the early morning temperature outside is just lovely.

Big country, big climate, big wildlife!  We saw our first snake of this holiday in the week.  We were driving along a nearby lane.  When we got to the dead end (didn't realise it was a cul-de-sac), we saw a snake slithering from the tarmac into the grass at the side of the road.  Almost certainly a racer snake - as harmless as a grass snake at home.
And then we went to Celebration ....
