Monday 3 June

We were out for a long morning on Monday.  The girls went to see Aladdin while I went to the Spectrum depot to recycle all the old broadband equipment we had found in the house.

There was a story to this photo - see later
That proved very difficult as they only really wanted to accept their own stuff - and not even that at times - and the man on the desk also told me semi-accusingly that one of the items was a 'technician item'.  I told him I wasn't bothered whose it was I just wanted it recycling!  He finally took most things back and I managed to give the rest in at 'BestBuy' at Posner Park on our way to the airport on our last day.

We thought it was time to replace the old wooden airer with a new one
I then went on to the Eastern Billiards Company to get a 4th pool cue as one of them was missing from our set at the house and those we had did come from that company.  They pointed out that the one I had brought in for comparison had actually had a rough and ready repair done, so they managed to sell me 2 reconditioned/second hand ones for the price of a new one. Unfortunately the ones they gave me didn't have their name engraved on them!

We quite liked this painting for our Beach House theme, but not at $80 plus tax!

I then went on to 'Bed, Bath and Beyond' to see if I could preview bedding for Bedroom 3 as we were looking for a beach house theme in that room.  I took lots of photos which the girls were able to view online from where they were and I then fetched them and returned to the store where we spent another small fortune to finalise the revamp of Bedroom 4.

They also had this in Bed, Bath and Beyond and it made us think of absent friends!

And now for the photo.  On my tour of Kissimmee I dropped into Walmart there to get some things for my DIY activities.  On my return to the car the Fire Department small truck pulled into the next space where a woman in uniform got out and offered to take my trolley back.  I said I need to return to the store anyway but she wanted the trolley as a Zimmer frame as she was recovering from a double knee replacement.  I asked her if she should be at work and she said she needed to be as she couldn't afford to go without pay!  I said I'd heard that some Americans didn't take all their annual leave allowance and she confirmed that.  It's nice to know there are some places worse off than us for employment conditions!
